Memories of the outback

When I was teaching in Melbourne, fellow calligrapher Deirdre Hassed asked me to make a piece of work based on my travels through Australia. As most Europeans visiting the outback, I was truly fascinated by the land, the colours and the incredible amount of space. Deirdre had fallen in love with one of my previous works and asked me to use it as a source of inspiration. I did, but as always, every piece will develop its own personality true to the nature of the text and environment.
